Our opinion on Revolution Race hiking clothes

Revolution Race is a Swedish outdoor clothing and equipment brand created in 2013. You can find a wide range of products for men, women and children such as jackets, pants, shoes, etc. Their products are designed to be functional, comfortable and affordable.

We've now had the chance to test Revolution Race clothing on our hikes in Belgium and around the world for two months. From the moment we received the package, we were surprised by the quality of Revolution Race clothing, and after several months of use, we can confirm that we are very happy with them!

We both chose the Cyclone Rescue Jacket 2.0 hiking jacket. We adopted it immediately, both during our hikes and other outdoor activities and in our daily lives.

Its strengths: its waterproof and windproof properties. Thanks to it, we were able to stay dry and protected from the wind during the rainy days of the Belgian winter. Unfortunately, the Cyclone Rescue Jacket is not insulated against the cold. When temperatures are cool, we wear a down jacket underneath it.

The extra feature, a adjustable hood that fits over a bicycle helmet.

It's arguably the garment we underestimate the most on a hike. And yet, the hiking pants have been a real change for us: lighter, more flexible, and more durable than jeans or leggings.

We chose the Nordwand Classic and Pro model from Revolution Race. A real pleasure to hike with these comfortable pants and elegant cut. The stretch panels (which you can clearly see on Romain), offer great flexibility in our movements. Moreover, we're not afraid to venture off the hiking trails.

The extra feature of the pants: a multitude of pockets to store your phone, handkerchiefs, and other accessories you want close at hand!

The drawbacks: the Nordwand pants are not waterproof (they are only water-repellent) and don't keep you warm. Similar to the jacket, we add thermal tights during negative temperatures.

Regarding size, we advise you to refer to the size guide directly on the product pages (which generally corresponds to our usual sizes). On our side, Romain exchanged the jacket for a size smaller, and Estelle, the trousers, for a size larger.

If you are unsure between two sizes, we recommend taking one size smaller for jackets and one size larger for trousers.

By regularly buying outdoor clothing, we find that Revolution Race's items are affordable for their quality. Furthermore, the cuts are elegant with a wide variety of colors (ranging from the most classic to the most colorful). The only downside is their website, where different colors and clothing models are mixed. Not ideal for comparing different models and finding the one that best suits our needs.
