Romantic accommodation in Andenne: Au pré de Mukky

After buying a farm in Andenne and, at the same time, welcoming Mukky (the pony that lived there), Laurence and Laurent decided to build a tiny house that will appeal to lovers with their own hands. Through this accommodation, they promote local products and businesses, revitalizing the Andenne community.

The accommodation Au pré de Mukky is located in the heights of Andenne in the province of Namur. Laurent and Laurence built this cozy little nest next to their farm in a very quiet cul-de-sac street. Check-in is from 5 PM and check-out before 1 PM, unusual hours but allowing plenty of time to enjoy the place without stressing about checking out.

Upon arrival, we are warmly welcomed by Laurent who explains the history of the place and gives us a tour.

Perfectly arranged, this tiny house of approximately 20m² whose highlight was the possibility of spending a stay with all the necessary comfort to live in it is divided into four distinct spaces: Kitchen, living room, bedroom and bathroom.

After receiving all the explanations from Laurent, we settle into the kitchen for a small aperitif. It is very well equipped for cooking (stove, microwave, fridge, sink) but we decide to eat at a restaurant that night.

Following Laurent's recommendations, we go to “Au bon plan”, a brasserie restaurant located 10 minutes from the accommodation where we will eat some very good dishes!

Back at Mukky's Pasture, we decide to brave the autumnal chill and warm up in the outdoor jacuzzi. We put on the bathrobes and slippers provided by the accommodation and take with us a bottle of Champagold, a mix between cider and champagne from The Bird Song Farm and offered as an extra during a stay at Mukky's Pasture.

After spending over an hour in the jacuzzi, we return to the tiny house to take a good hot shower and get ready for bed.

The bathroom is well-designed and includes a large shower, toilet, and sink for getting ready with all the necessary comfort.

For sleeping, Au pré de Mukky offers a 1.60m bed positioned between three walls, so if you're taller than 1.90m (like Romain) you might feel a little cramped at night. But otherwise, the bedding is comfortable for a very good night's sleep.

We wake up peacefully and discover the breakfast platter left discreetly on the terrace for us. With its pancakes, pastries, scrambled eggs, seasonal fruits, fresh orange juice, bread and cheese, this homemade breakfast will satisfy both sweet and savory lovers.

Before leaving Mukky's meadow, we're invited to say hello to the mascot of the place: Mukky!

This small pony with a strong character spends a peaceful life surrounded by his friends the goats and will be happy to receive some carrots before we leave.

We had a fantastic stay at Au pré de Mukky and were truly impressed by the welcome and kindness of Laurence and Laurent, their dedication and the passion they put into this accommodation.
